Latest news…I joined an Indie-Pop band as a guitarist. Going to be playing some festivals in the upcoming months so that’s exciting. Apart from that I got a Korg Padkontrol. Click here to see me messing around with some samples I made, its likely something like this will open my E.P.
Nearly every time I play I see a family or two with children listening to me and I never know what to sing to them. So I learned this track, then recorded it. Free download (As usual!)
A couple of weeks ago, fellow musician and kiwi Paul Carleton hung with me in Berlin. Whilst jamming out a fun set to play on the street, I received a call from Gunnar of Berlin Sessions who asked me if I was free the following day to record a clip with them. I pulled the phone away and asked Paul if he was keen to write a song for Berlin sessions. The result? A brand new band Canoe Love with our first track: Waves and Circles. Written, practiced and performed live in a day and a half. It’s what we do.
These past weeks have been very busy. I recorded vocals for a new electronic project at the end of last week, which I will be posting about soon…
My rock band with Michael Koefman in New Zealand, Voice, have put up one of our tracks from our debut album on soundcloud. Czech it out here
On Monday I recorded guitar and vocals for a cover of London Grammars “Strong”. Expect it up on soundcloud in the next day or two!
This week, my friend and fellow musician Paul (from NZ) hung with me in Berlin. We jammed together, wrote a song and were videoed by the outstanding lads from Berlin Sessions, with Paul on guitar and vocals, and me on cajon and vocals. The video should be up on youtube within the next month. To get a taste of what our video might look like, check out what they do below
