Tour Dates w/ Joseph and Maia, Recording Sessions…

I’m super pleased to announce that I’m supporting NZ duo Joseph & Maia on their Germany tour in September. Tour dates are below.

In other news, I have been working hard in the studio helping my friend Michael Adamant with his EP, as well as working on a brand new original project which has been in development for many months. More info and a preview to come…

Additionally my NZ based band, Voice have just landed a support slot with one of our favourite bands of all time, Anathema. So I will be heading back to NZ in October to rehearse for the show which is on the 23rd at Dux Live.

2015 So Far…

Winter has been writing time.  Since the Motions and Memories E.P release I have been very busy playing with The New Beans, writing for a video game and working on two new major projects.
Both are under the radar at the moment but some pretty exciting stuff is in the works.

More soon

October Update

I have now been back in New Zealand for a month, catching up with family, friends, tying up loose ends etc etc!

No new material to share (yet!) but I have been busy.  My good friends in No Broadcast (powerful sonic rock) invited me to tour with them around the North Island of New Zealand, which was an absolute blast. I opened for them on around half of the shows and it was brilliant to visit some new cities and regions of NZ that I hadn’t seen before. Did some more writing for a new potential Ships and Satellites track with Josh and Chris.  Some photos of the tour are below, thanks to Fabien Brooke for the amazing shots! (all rights belong to him).

Other than the tour I have been finishing up the Motions and Memories project covers and writing for my new project.

Back to the long, frigid Berlin winter in 1 month.  Time to stock up on merino thermals!

Update August/September

Plenty, as usual, has happened since the last update.  My bandmate from Voice, Michael, arrived unexpectedly in Berlin and stayed with me for a little over a week, allowing new plans and goals to be drawn up for the project, as well as discussions for the band potentially moving over here to Berlin. And a small amount of partying of course…

The New Beans have been practicing hard for to play at the upcoming One Spark Festival, a live crowd-funding event which takes place this Saturday here in Berlin. More details are here, it’s looking to be a really interesting and exciting day and tickets are FREE.

Writing continues on my new project, some of the samples were in an earlier post but more updates to come on that as it emerges…

Finally at the end of this month I return to New Zealand for 8 weeks to see friends and family and continue work on musical projects before I return to the great cold of a Berlin December.

Jammin with The New Beans, writing etc

I was really missing playing guitar in a live Rock project, so a while back I joined Argentinian-born Indie-Rock band The New Beans as a guitarist.  Last week we played a show at Kaffee Burger-this was our first full-band show with the new Berlin line up and it was heaps of fun.

I am still writing tunes, and rather than post on here, I am now going to go do some more!

If you want to czech out The New Beans, the album is here.

Smashing Pumpkins cover coming soon.

Gigs, progress

On Saturday I played at a small open air festival in my district of Moabit (Picture attached). I have also begun rehearsing with my new band, which have our first show in ten days!  Solo work is coming along nicely, a basic instrumental structure of a song called “Ghosts” is finished.
